The client

Living and Dying Well is a research programme at the University of Surrey focused on improving care for older people in their last phase of life, particularly those living with frailty, who too often fall between services.

What I did

I built a custom WordPress theme that presents the team’s research and practical resources clearly, in a warm, calm style that suits the subject.

  • The Atlas. A co-designed information pathway for people working in community and primary care, with its own section, templates and a slide-out glossary so readers can check terms without losing their place.
  • Research projects. A research project content type with an archive, so studies such as PALLUP, Care-Full and PRO-FRAIL each get a full write-up.
  • The PALLUP toolkit. Step-by-step guidance for planning and running events, next steps and a policy briefing.
  • Resources and team. A resources library and team page, all editable through ACF.

Result

The site gives the programme a single, accessible place to share its research and tools with practitioners, policymakers and the public.

Chris understood what we needed to share and who we needed to reach. The site presents our research and The Atlas clearly, and it has helped us put practical resources in front of the people who use them.
